It is with sadess and regret that we have taken this decision.<br /> There are many contibutory factors, not least is the ever increasing burden of bureaucracy and the cost now surrounding health and safety and flying; also the escalating fuel and insurance costs.<br /> We have been extremely fortunate with the continued support given to Wings &amp; Things over the years. Out thanks to all those that have been involved.<br /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="font-weight: bold; color: red; text-align: center"> **********</td> </tr> </table> </font></p> <p> <font face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="3"> <img src="bleriot1.gif" width="277" height="142" align="right"><strong><font size="4">Woodchurch Wings & Things</font></strong> has now been running for some 18 years. It is one of the highlights of the events calendar in the Ashford Borough, typically attracting some 6,000 people each year</font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Its main attraction is the air display - a full 3-hour display of classic, warbird and aerobatic aircraft - with some of the top display pilots in the country participating. These pilots give their services for free, which enables the event to raise money for local charities. Wings & Things also attracts about 400 classic, vintage and historic vehicles  ranging from <strong>steam rollers</strong> to <strong>vintage Bentleys</strong>, from <strong>wartime Jeeps</strong> through <strong>Norton motorbikes </strong>to <strong>Kit Cars</strong>.</font></p> <p align="center"><font size="3" face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><img src="blenheim.gif" width="486" height="158" align="middle"></font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Visitors can wander around the lines of vehicles and talk with the owners; they can also get close to the aircraft and chat with the pilots</font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">For the children and those with less interest in cars and planes, there is an entertainments field with traditional fairground rides, a range of different stalls offering interesting wares, and a wide variety of refreshments.</font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> <img src="modelt.gif" width="224" height="162" align="left">The whole show has a  garden party feel to it, and tries to present these high-tech machines of the past in an intimate and accessible fashion. Visitors come by road from all over the country, and by air from France, Holland and Germany.</font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The show opens to the public at 10.00 am and finishes at about 5.30 pm. Entry fees are &pound;10.00 for adults and &pound;5.00 for school-age children and senior citizens.
